While growing up, our family always shared stories about all the crazy things that happened during Prohibition and how some of our relatives had been involved.  They always told us that this was the story we needed to write.  So, we started with the short film, "Holy Toledo," which tells the story of our Great Uncle Will and how he got caught storing liquor for both Jack and the Licavoli Gang.  You can watch the short here-- https://youtu.be/DZunzf_r78k

 

After premiering the short film, so many people reached out and shared their own family story that we decided to collect as many as we could and share them in "Toledo: The Prohibition Chronicles."  An edited version will be shown July 5 on WGTE's Toledo Stories.  The 60+ minute version with added bonus features, including a virtual tour of Yonnie Licavoli's Pemberton home and Angelo's Northwood Villa, is available for $10 plus $5 s&h on PayPal-- payment can be sent to HolyToledoFilm@gmail.com.  Please include your address so we get your DVD to you!

 

Next, we plan to film the 2-hour long feature film, "Holy Toledo: Jack Kennedy's Story," which tells the story of Jack's rise and fall and entanglement with Yonnie Licavoli.  It's an action-filled drama with gangsters and tommy guns, and it's also a story about Jackie, the brave hero who fights for his town, refusing to give in to Licavoli's demands.  

 

Our plan is to raise financing and shoot the feature in Toledo.  But, raising funds for an independent film is rarely easy and can take time, so hang in there with us on this crazy adventure and we will see you at the premiere!
